Thursday Introspections 1.2.18

Ocean and me

my body leans against the twisted trunk
bullied day and night by mighty wind
that blows across the azure sea
rough sand tickles my toes
as waves come and touch my toes
to run away again in ocean’s breast
the sun showers its golden rays
on my bare head
for the naughty gusts of winds
have twisted the branches
the other way
I prefer the rest offered by the trunk
over the shadow offered by green canopy
that’s so funkily shaped by mister sea
like my hair
blowing in his sigh
away from my face
and body
